Labours Contempt for the lifeblood of the British Economy

We are now all too aware of the huge taxpayer bailout of UK Banks, the complete incompetence and failure of the British Banking sector to operate within it's means and the recession this has helped cause.

The Labour government have been happy to lay huge sums of taxpayers money on proping up the banks.

When it comes to Businesses that are feeling the true cost of the recession, largely brought on by the Banking crises and poor management of the UK economy by the Labour government, it's a different matter. Business Secretary Lord Mandelson has ignored calls to delay or scrap the 5% increase in Buisness rates.  Leading business figures like Philip Green (Arcadia), Stuart Rose (M&S) the FSB and others had called for an increase to be withdrawn due to the current economic climate, however businesses outside of the banking sector are viewed more like the government cash machine. Where many buisinesses are now facing a daily struggle for survival the government and Lord Madelson are happy to extract even more cash.

The Government is doing the wrong thing at the worst time especially for small and medium sized businesses who are fighting for survival and to keep on staff.

We are supporting the Daily Mails 'Fair Deal for Small Firms' and hope that you will too. For more information on the campaign see: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1078972/MAIL-COMMENT-A-fair-deal-small-firms.html
