UK Motorists To Face Highest Taxes In World!The chancellor and Labour goverment are weighing up some of the biggest potential tax rises for the UK motorist since the advent of modern taxation, in effect these changes could make the UK the most expensive place in the world to run a car.
The new tax would be based on recorded vehicle usage, a GPS system would be used to measure mileage and record tax owed to the goverment. You would be charged for any journey made in a vehicle, a trip to the supermarket or a school run would all record charges which would have to be paid to the revenue. In order to achieve this the government will have to enforce car owners and manufacturers to install a 'black box', a GPS recording device in all vehicles. These black boxes will not only allow the government to record your mileage but also your movements, average speed, where you park and for how long along with other data.
