UK Motorists To Face Highest Taxes In World!

The chancellor and Labour goverment are weighing up some of the biggest potential tax rises for the UK motorist since the advent of modern taxation, in effect these changes could make the UK the most expensive place in the world to run a car.

The new tax would be based on recorded vehicle usage, a  GPS system would be used to measure mileage and record tax owed to the goverment. You would be charged for any journey made in a vehicle, a trip to the supermarket or a school run would all record charges which would have to be paid to the revenue.

In order to achieve this the government will have to enforce car owners and manufacturers to install a 'black box', a GPS recording device in all vehicles. These black boxes will not only allow the government to record your mileage but also your movements, average speed, where you park and for how long along with other data. Big Brother will be watching your every move!

We want our website users to lead the debate, are these advances positive or is this government trying to syphon off more of our hard earned money as they eat further into our disposable income.

To register your concern check out the No.10 website a petition against the planned chages:

your opinion counts so take a minute and add your name to the petition.
